About this policy
This notice describes the website implementation reviewed on 27 September 2026. TFC means The Freight Company, the trading name displayed on this site. The site displays ABN 22 698 446 730 and 73 Pipe Road, Laverton North VIC 3026, Australia. This website review has not independently verified the legal entity behind the trading name or its coverage under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Privacy enquiries: ops@thefreightcompany.au.
What the quote form collects
The form asks for your name and email, selected services and a description of the goods. It also asks for goods quantity, weight and dimensions (or that weight/dimensions are not yet known). Transport or freight management enquiries additionally ask for pickup and delivery suburbs/postcodes. You can optionally provide your company, telephone number, dates, frequency, packaging, access instructions, storage/fulfilment estimates and further relevant information. Inactive service fields and blank optional fields are excluded from the submission. Please do not send identity documents, payment details, health information or unrelated personal information. Only provide another person’s details if you have authority to do so and have told them about this notice.
Why we ask
TFC uses enquiry information to understand the requested transport, warehousing or logistics work, assess feasibility, prepare a quote and contact you. Required fields support that assessment; without them the online form cannot be submitted. You can email a general question instead. An enquiry does not add you to a marketing list. This site has no newsletter signup, marketing integration, customer account, payment form or file-upload facility.
Where a submission goes
Nothing is sent by the form’s Review enquiry step. Selecting Send quote request sends the reviewed details, a generated enquiry reference and submission time to FormSubmit for email processing. The configured recipients are milan@thefreightcompany.au, sanyam@thefreightcompany.au and ops@thefreightcompany.au. FormSubmit also receives technical request information needed to handle the connection, such as the source IP address and request headers; its exact logging practices have not been verified. A successful API response confirms provider acceptance only, not delivery to or reading of a TFC mailbox. The website does not have its own enquiry database. See FormSubmit’s privacy information.
Email and career enquiries
Email links open your email application. You decide whether to send. Your message and any attachments then pass through your email provider and the recipients’ email service. Career enquiries go to ops@thefreightcompany.au; send only contact details, the work you are interested in and relevant experience initially. There is no application-upload form or automated recruitment screening on this site. TFC’s email provider, internal access arrangements and recruitment retention process have not been verified in this website review.
Browsing, cookies and other websites
Pages, fonts, animation assets and videos are served from this site’s hosting. The site uses a session flag for the opening animation and, when you save a choice, a local preference record for cookie settings. With your analytics choice, Google Analytics 4 measures visits, page views and engagement to help TFC understand site use. Google receives cookie identifiers, page paths/titles, device/browser and technical connection information and can derive approximate geography. TFC strips page query strings and fragments, omits referrer values, disables enhanced measurement and does not send form contents, contact details or enquiry references to Analytics. Google signals and advertising personalisation are disabled in the site integration. No advertising pixels or embedded social feeds are installed. Analytics is off until you accept; a prompt appears after 30 seconds when no valid choice is saved. You can change your choice in the footer at any time. Google address suggestions are inactive and their loader is not included. Directions, Instagram and LinkedIn are ordinary outbound links; those providers receive a request when you follow a link. Hosting and overseas processing
The site is published using ChatGPT Sites with Cloudflare-backed hosting. The hosting/access layer handles website requests independently of TFC’s page code. Its precise log fields, access cookies, retention periods, subprocessors and processing countries have not been confirmed. Google processes Analytics data under its service terms and may process it outside Australia. The precise processing locations for this property have not been independently verified. See Google’s privacy policy. Country and subprocessor checks also remain outstanding for FormSubmit and TFC’s email service. We cannot currently promise that information stays in Australia or list verified overseas destinations. This is an unresolved review item, not a request for you to waive privacy protections.
Retention and security
Google Analytics event and user data retention is set to two months, with reset on new user activity off; Google states changes take effect after 24 hours. This setting does not limit most aggregated standard reports and is not a promise that all Google data disappears after two months. Analytics cookies and saved consent choices are configured for up to 180 days. FormSubmit’s documentation states that it retains submissions for 30 days. This does not establish when email copies, provider logs or backups are deleted. TFC’s enquiry, mailbox, recruitment and backup retention schedules have not been verified; no fixed period or automatic deletion promise is made here. The form uses HTTPS to its processing service and does not save your draft in the site’s local storage. Browser autofill and browser recovery may retain information separately. Email forwarding, account security and staff access controls require operational confirmation. No online transmission can be guaranteed secure.
Access, correction and privacy concerns
Contact ops@thefreightcompany.au, or write to the address above, to ask about information relating to you, request access or correction, request deletion, or raise a complaint. Include enough detail to locate the enquiry, such as its reference; do not send identity documents in your first message. Requests are assessed under applicable law, with identity verified only as reasonably needed. Any lawful restriction, fee or refusal and available review options will be explained. A deletion request does not guarantee removal of all email copies, backups or records required by law. Where the Australian Privacy Principles apply, unnecessary information must be destroyed or de-identified subject to applicable retention exceptions.
Escalation and updates
If a privacy issue is not resolved, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner to ask about complaint options and whether it has jurisdiction. This notice will need updating if collection, providers or purposes change. The website data audit distinguishes verified implementation from outstanding questions. This website notice does not claim that every business privacy obligation has been assessed.
